Pastor Paul B. Jackson

Pastor Paul B. Jackson born April 9, 1954 and to his parents Clifton Jackson and Gladys Mae (McFarland) Jackson.

Born and raised in the city of Buffalo. Attended grade school and graduated from Emerson High school in 1972 in Food Preparation. The Lord saved Paul in March 1976 under the leadership of Bishop Charles Henry McCoy, and began his spiritual education by attending the Moody Bible Institute, Pentecostal Bible Institute (PTBI) and Antioch Bible College. He graduated in June of 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Ministry with the help of his mentor/teacher Elder Jean O’Brien.

Married on December 19th 1976 to Vivian Ann Jackson who was the love of his life at Pentecostal Temple COGIC by Bishop Charles H. McCoy. From their union came their daughter Bridgette Nicole Jackson, the second love of his life. He and his wife were foster parents for 10 years, providing a safe haven for children from distressed homes. The one they continued a relationship with was Clifton Nash whom they look on as a son.

Pastor Paul worked several jobs throughout his life at Great Lakes Optical (14 years), Franwall Optical (7 years) and for the City of Buffalo beginning in 1995 until retirement in 2016 (20 year).

He became a licensed minister in May of 1997 under Pastor Matthew Brown. In the year of 2001, he was ordained an Elder in Church of God in Christ by Bishop Glenwood H. Young, prelate of Jurisdiction #2 of WNY.

He worked for the Lord serving in many auxiliary positions under the leadership of Bishop Charles H. McCoy for 20 years. After the passing of Bishop McCoy, he worked under the leadership of Pastor Matthew L. Brown for 16 years in varied ministries which include the Second Assistant Pastor. Then under Pastor Ronald Alston for 7 years serving in varied ministries which include Assistant Pastor, until he was appointed Pastor of Jefferson Avenue Community Church in 2019.
